Camel P 25kg
• A high fibre (37% NDF), low energy diet fortified with essential vitamins, minerals and protein for supplementing high fibre roughage materials such as hay.
• Can be used to reduce the ‘scouring’ effect of grazing on young fresh grass (i.e. as found in temperate regions of Northern Europe).
Soya Bean Hulls, Grass Meal, Wheat Feed, Molasses, Minerals, Dehulled Extracted Toasted Soya, Soya Bean Oil, Yeast, Vitamins. (Ingredients may be subject to change due to seasonal availability)
Camels are ruminants which source their energy largely from highly fibrous graze. Adult Camels may eat as much as 3% of their body weight as dry food. Dry Matter Intake (DMI) depends on the quality of the forage and other factors such as age, environment, life stage (breeding cycle) and health status.
MAZURI CAMEL PELLETS are a very important source of essential vitamins, minerals and protein which are packed into a high fibre pellet, to help support a long and healthy life. Offer 1-2.5% Bodyweight as pellets alongside Ad Libitum Grass Hay.
i.e. for a 400Kg Camel offer a minimum of 4Kg of pellets (<10Kg max).
Lactating or younger growing animals may need higher energy and protein levels and so more pellets can be offered.
A typical diet ratio of 35% low fibre pellets to 65% grass hay can be used as a feeding guide. (Ref: Lintzenich, B.A, Ward, A.M 1997 Hay and Pellet Ratios: Considerations in Feeding Ungulates. Nutrition Advisory Handbook. Fact Sheet 006).
